Find and Evaluate the Links
Evaluation
Once you know who links to a page, it may be possible to form an objective opinion about the value of that page. The pages that link to the page in question act as an unsolicited list of references which may include indispensable external evidence (for more on evaluating external evidence, see Other Evidence).
Furthermore, the links an author includes on the site help to reveal what an author thinks is important.

Discuss: Who would you expect to find linking to the page in question if it is a legitimate site? What did you find? Did the "links to" pages or "friends" represent trustworthy sites or add to the credibility of the author?
What links does the author use and what do these reveal about him/her or the subject matter? Are there any links to outside sources? If not, what does this say about the author? Did all the links work? What does that say about the author?
