Some bookmark names don't make any sense.  How can I rename a bookmark?

The web page name entered when you bookmark a page is determined by the page's author.  This means the name might be a generic phrase like index.html, or something obscurely technical.  You can change the name of a page to better describe the contents.

  • Click Bookmarks and select Manage Bookmarks.
  • Select the bookmark you want to rename.  This will highlight the bookmark. 
  • Click Rename on the command line at the top of the page. This will open a Properties Box for that particular bookmark. 
  • You can now change the name of the bookmark to some thing more descriptive.

How can I organize my bookmark files?

It is useful to group bookmark files into folders. This reduces the length of your list and let's you create a logical filing system.   However to remain useful, this approach takes some time and maintenance.

  • Click Bookmarks and select Manage Bookmarks.  
  • Along the top of the page you'll see the command line. 
  • Click New Folder. Type a concise descriptive name when presented with the Create New Folder box.
  • Next drag the appropriate bookmarks into the folder. 
  • Open the folder and drag the bookmarks into any order you wish. 
  • Close the folder and drag it anywhere on your list.
